Artist Cris Dam was born in Alaska, raised in Spain, educated in New York City, and is currently raising a family in Connecticut. In his paintings and murals, which have been celebrated on both sides of the Atlantic in solo shows and pubic commissions, he combines diverse landscapes and universal patterns found everywhere in nature to connect all cultures.

In 1998, Dam co-founded Dam, Stuhltrager Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, becoming an early gallerist to propel Williamsburg into an international art mecca. For the Bridgeport Art Trail, he will open his studio doors for the first time to the public since relocating to the Arcade Mall in 2017, where he will feature a new series of groundbreaking paintings that will transform his space into a light-filled installation––one that pushes beyond the limits of compositional tradition.
