The Nakupenda exhibit will depict love throughout the African diaspora.  Images, stories and poems will express friendship, family, self love, community, activism and empowerment. Nakupenda is the Swahili word for ‘I love you’.  This is a celebration of love in and for the journey and humanity of a people.
