The 2020 “BAT” comes with its unique challendges due to Covid19. d artistOn an average year, visitors discover arts venues, studios, and pop-ups throughout Bridgeport, engaging artists, arts enthusiasts, business people, residents and neighbors of all ages and backgrounds from the CT-NY region. A robust promotional campaign and program schedule raises awareness of the growing arts community and promotes a positive image of the re-invention of Bridgeport through the arts and community development.

Here is a pdf to last year’s weekend event annually attracting 4500 attendees to tour Bridgeport city-wide to, “view art, talk art, experience art, buy art.“.

The 12th annual BAT will be adapted and scheduled for Nov. 5-15, 2020 as a 2 weekend, 10-day arts celebration, a primarily virtual event, will comply with the new normal of Covid19 while still enriching, engaging, and connecting the greater Bridgeport community. BAT programs will showcase the creative potential of Bridgeport and attract opportunities for the critical income that gig-economy-creatives live by and promote their art and creative services. Online programs include art studio tours, interviews, performances, and demonstrations. To improve the online experience, we are upgrading the BAT website. We hope you like it! The 2020 BAT schedule is in formulation now. We will add updates as we go and plan to have the full schedule up by the end of October.
