The SameSex exhibit and Variety show features 20 regional and national artists presenting art regarding LGBTQ issues. Inclusion, respect, solidarity and growing community have always been the intentions of this event. Every year one theme organically emerges as predominate. From the review of submissions and planning for this year’s event, the predominate theme is the necessity to grow community. It is evident through the number of featured artists who have exhibited in past years and the growing level of collaboration from our partners.
City Lights realized to grow capacity we needed to reach out for increased support, collaboration and outreach. Community partners enthusiastically committed to work with us in word and action . Along with a financial contribution, our lead sponsor, the Triangle Community Center welcomed City Lights to promote our Bridgeport Pride event at their annual Pride In The Park celebration that takes place annually in June in Norwalk.
Thank you to all partners, supporters and participants.
